# Getting Started with MCP Gateway

An MCP Gateway controls access to an existing Model Context Protocol (MCP)
server. This tutorial connects Linear through Zuplo so an AI assistant can call
its tools after you sign in.

You need a Linear workspace and an MCP client, such as Claude Desktop. The
Portal guide uses Auth0 for sign-in; the local guides use development sign-in to
test on your machine. Choose the workflow that fits your setup.
